Welcome to Kinofest NYC!

Kinofest NYC is a film festival that celebrates independent cinema from Ukraine and other countries of the former Soviet Union. A new voice in the New York cinema community, Kinofest NYC brings New Yorkers an intriguing look at independent film coming from these developing countries that sit on the eastern border of continental Europe. The festival’s objective is to highlight emerging film talent by publicly screening full length features, documentaries, film shorts and animations that have a focus on this region. Kinofest NYC is brought to you by a group of people who wish to present the compelling story of the post-Soviet experience and who believe in the power of the individual narrative.

Kinofest NYC is now accepting film submissions for its March 2011 festival. All submitted entries must be received by 11 February 2011.
